ENHANCED RIDER SCHEME
ERS is the DVSA Enhanced Rider Scheme. It’s for qualified riders who want to take their riding beyond test standard. We assess how you’re riding now and then develop areas such as observation, bends, positioning, overtaking, filtering and confidence. It’s personalised around you and your bike rather than being another standard lesson.
On successful completion of the course you’ll receive a DVSA Enhanced Rider Qualification.
About THE COURSE
The RJH Enhanced Rider Scheme is designed to improve the skills, knowledge, confidence and decision-making of qualified motorcycle riders. The course combines assessment, coaching and practical road riding, with an emphasis on safe, systematic, observant and responsible riding. The ultimate objective is to develop better rider decisions, not simply better machine control.
Two 3 hour sessions
During the course, we’ll explore a variety of real-world riding environments, including things like:
1. Planning, awareness & defensive riding using IPSGA framework
2. Progress, cornering and negotiating bends
3. Filtering, Safe and efficient overtaking
4. Slow control, Speed, and rider attitude
